bowls & plates
Like a seamstress creating a custom sewing pattern, I design a master paper pattern for each of my pottery pieces. I use the pattern to cut out and build my work but alter the surface decoration per piece so that every plate, bowl, or vase is unique. Below are examples of the types of bowls and plates that I make. Please note the last two images are of Tutti Frutti Bowls built using the same pattern but decorated and glazed very differently.
