Like a seamstress creating a custom sewing pattern, I design a master paper pattern for each of my pottery pieces. I use these patterns to cut out and  build my work but alter the surface decoration per piece so that every vase, platter or bowl is unique. Below are examples of the types of vases that I make. Please note that the last two images are of the Confetti Vase built using the same pattern but decorated and glazed differently.
